Evergreen Classic Prom Dresses
As a teenage girl in high school, it’s on of your dreams to feel stunning, classy and gorgeous on your prom night and most if not al wouldn’t mind becoming the prom queen. If this is the case then prom dress plays a big role of achieving this. If you want to convey the sweet and innocent image, then you would like to go for the traditional “Princess” prom dress. But if you want the cure, fun and flirty look, then its 50′s fashion that you’re looking for.
Don’t be shy, but remember to always seek advice from the experts who should include your local designer, older siblings, parents, or basically someone who is knowledgeable with materials and fabrics. If you’re looking for some guidelines to follow, read these carefully before you attempt to design your own dress.
An intricately cut bodice combined with an hourglass fit and fun detailed pockets make her jewel-toned satin creation the envy of many prom queen hopefuls. Similarly, her long, black satin dress kicks it up a notch with a thigh-high slit and red lining – not to mention the rhinestone cherries that adorn the pockets. For those who need a bit more roominess, Sherri Hill’s short, gold and silver sequined party dress is made from tiered ruffles of silk chiffon and features a wrapped empire waistline.
Due to the detailing on these dresses, any accessories should be subtle with a classic twist. You don’t have to wear your mother’s pearls, but look for elegant jewelry and shoes. You want attention to be drawn to yourself and to your dress, not to what is hanging from your ears! If in doubt, ask a salesperson for recommendations when purchasing your dress. They should be able to make suggestions on jewelry and shoes, and possibly even a suitable prom hairstyle.

If you have both it would be to overwhelming to the naked eye and one will take away from the other. The idea here is to make either the dress or the accessories the focus, not both.
Dressy Classic Black
Since black is considered the hottest color for prom night, a black prom dress would be a perfect choice. You can choose either a stunning, long black dress or a little black formal dress.
Reconstruct an old cocktail dress or gown. Again, ask the help of a skilled friend if you do not have the necessary skills to do this. Scan magazines or check out the latest Academy Awards for fresh ideas.

A loose halter dress makes the body look slimmer. Adding a stole to the dress is another way to try a new and different look. When shopping for the dress take a friend along with you who knows your tastes and isn’t afraid to tell you how the halter dress looks on you. Walk around; take a look at the back of the dress and try on as many as you want till you find the right one for you
